    It took P&G's CSDW Program 4 years to provide the first billion liters with our not-for-profit effort. And, then only 2 more years to reach the 2nd billionth liter last March. And, in only 10 more months, we've reached the 3rd billionth liter. What a journey it has been!more...

    It started out as a rather uncommon meeting. In 2005, Jim Nethercott — retired P&G CFO — invited Dr. Greg Allgood, Director of P&G's Children's Safe Drinking Water Program, to attend a small gathering of P&G's retired officers to demonstrate the power of the PUR™ Purifier of Water technology. To Nethercott's delight, the meeting did exactly what it was intended to do. More than stirring dirty water that day, he stirred hearts to want to help.more...

    On October 21, a cholera outbreak was confirmed in Haiti. Cholera is a bacterial infection that causes a watery diarrhea, dehydration and often times death in humans if not caught and treated quickly. Cholera spreads through contaminated food and water supplies, and water treatment products like P&G's PUR packets are proven effective in killing the cholera bacteria and can be critical to help stop the spread of this disease. more...

    Yesterday, Pantene's celebrity ambassadors, supermodel Gisele Bundchen of Brazil, and singer/song writer Anggun of Indonesia, kicked-off Pantene's newest campaign, Healthy Hair for Healthy Water (HHHW). In this new program, Pantene will partner with its consumers to help Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) achieve its goal to 'save one life every hour' in the developing world by providing two billion liters of clean water every year by 2020.more...

    On January 12, after six grueling days and 19,340 feet, the SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT: Kilimanjaro climbers, who included P&G's own Greg Allgood of the Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) program, along with Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, and other cultural influencers, reached their goal – the top of the tallest mountain in Africa.more...
